Chris Jones

Icon UK

Chris leads a highly experienced team of technologists with capabilities to change the status quo. For large organisations challenged in matters of omni-channel documents, identity management and customer experience, Icon UK offers transformational capabilities.

Chris was originally a Marketer, credited with creating the UK’s first large-scale lifestyle database for segmented, multi-channel target marketing in the 1980’s. The success was such that IBM recruited him into UK Strategy and EU Market Research, with many more ‘firsts’ including the introduction of PC based systems into Hospitality with splash-proof keyboards. Over the next 30 years, IT leadership roles saw further achievements such as pioneering Multi-Shore Applications Outsourcing (as founder/European MD of software services firm HCL Perot Systems, grew it from start-up to over $1B valuation, 2000+ staff, 10 country EMEA operations and acknowledged as ‘Best in Class’ in just 5 years). Subsequently he provided Consulting to many FTSE and Fortune companies, such as advising on IT organisational design, client procurement strategies and embedding innovation in all process thinking.

Icon UK, the current venture, was formed to stop documents being an obstacle to great customer experience. Current systems dependencies on carrying paperwork, identity cards, multi-handoff processes, physical presence, etc. burden customers with data re-entry, duplicate proofs and unresponsiveness. Icon UK’s offerings are built on best-of-breed functionally for document-centric Identity and Communications Management to enable customer-focused Digital Transformation. Core technologies include biometric e-Signature software (UK Govt’s largest Department uses this for real-time fraud capture), Wacom specialist hardware, icon Document Creation and Omni-Channel Output Management
